Professional dancer and dancegod Lloyd born Laud Anor Konadu has revealed that most parents prevent their kids who have talent in dancing to do so because they don’t see it as a p career to choose in life. He said some parents wish their kids will learn to get a good-paying job in the future because of the condition they find themselves. But talent is very important in life and it can also help to bring money home to help take care of the family whiles resolving the family problems.

He pleaded with parents to allow their kids to make use of their talent and also stay and encourage them.

Dancegod Lloyd disclosed to Amansan Krakye on Kastle Drive monitored on MyNewsGh.com that most kids become depressed when they are not allowed to exhibit their talents. I have had several calls from youngsters who want to dance but their parents are resisting them from doing so, he said.

He added, I understand most of the parents are scared allowing their kids to take such path, but as for me I went all out and that made my parents accept me as such, he said. I will not advise the young ones coming  also to take such risks but I will rather plead with all parents to support their kids and guide them to make the right choices and not to deprive them from what can make them happy.

In a chit-chat on Cape Coast-based Kastle FM, Dancegod Lloyd who was featured in Beyoncé’s King Already music video said, talents like dancing can also help to put food on the table.

He continued to say I was nobody and no one hailed me as a child from a small town but today I can be this great, meaning your kids can be greater than me through dancing. So they have to stay prayerful and support the kids no matter what the situation may be and that’s my little advice for the parents.

The kids should also take their studies serious as well as their talents and stay away from social vices “he said”.
